Pike County sentencings

Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas Judge Gregory Chelak:

Alex Leo Rivera, age 34, of Bushkill, PA, was sentenced to 119 days to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail and fined $700.00 for the crime of Recklessly Endangering Another Person and the Summary Offense of Harassment.  The state police responded to a domestic dispute on November 1, 2015, occurring at a residence in Lehman Township where Rivera acted in a threatening manner and pushed an individual across the room into a door while holding an infant.

Roseanne Marie Simeone, age 30, of Long Pond, PA, was sentenced to 1 month to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $600.00 for two counts of the crime of Ethnic Intimidation.  Simeone spray painted Anti-Semitic slurs and threats of violence on an individual’s property located in Greene Township between April of 2013 and October of 2013, causing $5,000.00 in damages.

Vincent M. Fantasia, age 43, of Gouldsboro, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 6 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,000.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.  The state police stopped Fantasia while traveling along Ledgedale Road in Greene Township on July 13, 2016, for an expired inspection sticker.  The trooper observed Fantasia to have a nervous demeanor.  A blood test revealed the presence of THC in Fantasia’s body.

Luis E. Fuentes, age 28, of Middletown, NY, was sentenced to 1 month to 18 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 2 years of probation and an $800.00 fine for the crimes of Indecent Exposure and Criminal Attempt to Commit Indecent Exposure.  Fuentes stopped his vehicle along a street in Matamoras Borough on May 6, 2015, and proceeded to expose his genitals and masturbate in front of individuals walking along the street.

Dana Ruby Vanderpool, age 39, of Bushkill, PA, was sentenced to a $500.00 fine for the crime of Disorderly Conduct.  The state police were dispatched to a domestic dispute at a residence in Lehman Township on September 18, 2017, where during the altercation, Vanderpool caused a large disruption.

Mason Anthony Zonin, age 19, of Barryville, NY, was sentenced to 12 months of probation, fined $800.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer and Required Financial Responsibility.  On September 27, 2017, the Shohola Police observed Zonin traveling along Route 434 in Shohola Township on a dirt bike which lacked a license plate.  Zonin refused attempts to be pulled over and eluded the officer at a high rate of speed until he lost control of the bike and fled on foot into the woods.  Zonin was later located and it was determined that he had no vehicle insurance.

Deidre Marie Walker, age 30, of Pittsfield, MA, was sentenced to 6 months to 12 months in the Pike County Jail, to run concurrent to the sentence she is currently serving, fined $500.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department was dispatched to a business parking lot in Matamoras on January 23, 2017, where Walker was slumped over the steering wheel of her car.  When Walker was roused by the officers, she provided the officers with her drug paraphernalia.  A consent to search the vehicle revealed a baggie of Heroin.

Heather Lee Hill, age 50, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $300.00 for the crime of Theft.  While working in the capacity as a housekeeper for an individual, Hill was observed via a WiFi camera taking jewelry and prescription medicine from the individual’s residence without the individual’s permission.

Svetlana Burovova, age 71, from Dingmans Ferry, PA, was sentenced to a $400.00 fine for the crime of Retail Theft.  Burovova took items with a retail value of $252.38 from a retail store in Westfall Township on December 26, 2011, without paying for the items.
