Forestburgh man arrested for Monticello bank robbery
A 39-year-old Forestburgh man has been arrested for robbing the Chase bank in Monticello.
The bank robber occurred on January 24 and the arrest came two days later. Eduardo Torres was arrested and charged with robbery and grand larceny, both felonies.
Police said after entering the bank, the suspect handed the teller a note and the teller gave him more than $5,300 before he fled the bank through a rear door.
