Canine unit demo at the library

MONTICELLO, NY — E. B. Crawford Public Library will hold a police canine unit demonstration led by Fallsburg police officer Chris Rosa on Thursday, May 31 at 6 p.m. Officer Rosa has been with the Fallsburg Police Department for 18 years and has been a canine officer for approximately 12 years. Learn how dogs are trained and what they can do.

Our 4-H dairy project

Hi, we are Tyler and Olivia Gries. We are third-generation members of the Calkins 4-H Agricultural Club and the fifth generation to live on the family dairy farm in Boyds Mills. We have five dairy animals and four market hogs we will be showing at the Wayne County Fair.

Have you ever been to the Wayne County Fair and wandered through the animal barns and wondered what the 4-H barns are all about? My name is Rachel Olver, and I am a sophomore at Honesdale High School and a member of the Calkins Agricultural 4-H club.
