WAYMART, PA — There’ll be an opportunity to take farm tours, eat farm-to-table food and interact with your legislators on Thursday, August 23 at the Jaggars Farm, sponsored by the Wayne/Pike Farm Bureau. Legislators from every level of government; federal, state, county and local will attend.
Beginning at 10 a.m., Tim Jaggars and his nephew, Zach Jones, will conduct a tour of the farm to showcase the conservation practices that have been implemented to preserve the farm’s fertile topsoil and protect its water resources.
A picnic lunch with a farm-to-table theme will be provided at no charge. Locally grown and produced ag products will be featured such as hamburgers, vegetable salads and maple dessert. Reservations are requested and can be made by calling Carole Grodack at 570/937-4162. The farm is at 117 Jubinsky Rd.
