LIBERTY, NY — The public is invited to the annual Master Gardener Volunteer Plant Sale on Sunday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. The popular Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) fundraiser will be held at the Extension Education Center on 64 Ferndale-Loomis Rd. Proceeds go toward supporting the CCESC Master Gardener Volunteer and community horticulture programs.
The public can purchase quality, mostly homegrown, plants and accessories including perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs and house plants, plus soil testing (pH) kits, free gardening advice from the Master Gardener Volunteers and compost demonstration activities. New this year will be compost bins and rain barrels for pick-up, to be ordered in advance with CCESC.
For more information, to donate, or to order a compost bin or rain barrel in advance, visit www.sullivancce.org/events, email sullivan@cornell.edu, or call 845/292-6180. Payment for compost bins and rain barrels is required at time of order.
