LAKE ARIEL, PA — Oscillation Transia Film Fest will come to Lacawac Sanctuary on Friday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. Oscillation Transia (www.oscillationtransia.com) is a non-profit traveling films festival sharing the importance of green energy and cinematic arts. Its goal is to unite a diverse population of Americans by means of a free, open-to-the-public film festival where dreamers and allies of the future can come together to experience and discuss environmental awareness through low-impact outdoor cinema. From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. there will be a solar energy workshop led by festival engineer Austin Krause. Starting about sundown (about 8:30 p.m.) the 90-minute film screening, consisting of nine short films, will begin.
This coming weekend, you can take a leisurely hike along the lake while the rhododendrons are in bloom at the “Rhododendron Hike & Historic Lodge Tour” on Saturday, July 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. Afterward, walk back in time to learn the history behind the Great Camp while enjoying a tour through Watres Lodge. Wear comfortable footwear. Registration appreciated. Participants will meet at the Carriage House.
Lacawac Sanctuary is located at 94 Sanctuary Rd. For more information visit www.lacawac.org.
