Update 4/26/2019 Howell determined the casue of death to be an acute myacardial infarction or heart attack.

Scott Kinzinger, who had been running as a Republican for Wayne County commissioner, passed away Wednesday at his home on Sunrise Avenue in Honesdale.

Coroner Edward Howell is still investigating the cause of death, but does not consider it suspicious, according to a release.

Kinzinger owned Kinzinger Printing and Advertising, and was instrumental in Honesdale's little league baseball and the Honesdale Softball League. The Honesdale native was a longtime volunteer in the community, serving on the Honesdale Jaycees, Honesdale Biddy Basketball, the Pennsylvania Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Freedom Lodge 88, the Wayne/PIke/Sullivan Antique Dealers Association, the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and the Wayne/Pike County Farm Bureau and a member of the Wayne County Builders Association.

Kinzinger was 54. The son of Gordon and Gail Kinzinger, he is survived by his brothers Mike and Todd and his sister Susan.
