HONESDALE, PA — On December 14, Honesdale police responded to a report of a male threatening his neighbors with a gun. When officers arrived at the scene at 1037 Main St., they discovered that Pierre Schandall had gotten into a disagreement with his neighbors. During the course of the argument, Schandall brandished a gun.

Police took Schandall into his apartment, where they smelled a strong odor of marijuana and saw drug paraphernalia in plain view. Schandall gave his consent to have the placed searched and police found a pellet gun and a safe. A search warrant for the safe was obtained and inside police found $10,800.00 in cash, a large amount of marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

“This is another example of excellent police work by the Honesdale Borough Police resulting in the seizure of a significant amount of illegal drugs and drug money,” Wayne County District Attorney Patrick Robinson said. “Law Enforcement in Wayne County will continue to be vigilant and proactive in an effort to catch and punish drug dealers to the fullest extent of the law.”

Schandall was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Linus Myers and was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail. He was scheduled for central court on December 19, at the Wayne County Courthouse.
