MONTICELLO, NY — The owners of the Kartrite Hotel and Indoor Waterpark expect to maintain the temperature of the waterpark at a constant 84° year-round. One part of the facility that will help them do that is the Texlon roof. According to as press release from the company, “the Kartrite’s unobstructed column-free construction features a barrel-shaped transparent Texlon roof that will bathe visitors in natural sunlight and provide the ideal conditions for lush gardens. The energy-efficient, eco-friendly material also allows for natural tanning without exposure to the harmful effects of UV rays.”

The owners announced on May 21 that the roof has been completed, and the project is expected to open in early 2019. The Kartrite Hotel & Indoor Waterpark will have 324 guest suites, and is being constructed by Ken Ellis and Arthur Berry III, co-owners of Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains.
