Sullivan Republican candidates announced

WHITE LAKE, NY — At the annual Republican Convention, held on February 20 at Sorella’s Restaurant in White Lake, the Republican Sullivan County Committee endorsed its slate of candidates for the November 2019 General Election. Chairman Richard I. Coombe and vice chairman Gary Maas announced the slate as follows: District Attorney Jim Farrell for County Court Judge and Surrogate; Deputy County Clerk Russell Reeves for County Court; Coroner Alan Kesten for re-election.

In the county legislative races, the party endorsed the following candidates: businessman Robert Doherty for District One; current vice-chair of the legislature Nadia Rajsz for re-election to District Two; Neversink Town Councilman Michael Brooks for District Three; Mamakating Town Councilman Nick Salomone for District Four; Town of Fremont Supervisor George Conklin for District Five; current chair of the legislature Luis Alvarez for re-election to District Six; Legislator Joseph Perrello for re-election to District Seven; Legislator Alan Sorensen for re-election to District Nine.

Coombe said, “The committee is very proud of our slate of candidates, it is a group that is talented and has enormous experience that will be invaluable in governing this county and moving Sullivan County in a positive direction.”
