Trees were reported down in several places, including Narrowsburg, NY, in the wake of a storm on May 15.

Strong storms take down trees

REGION — Strong thunderstorms ripped through the region on the afternoon of May 15, taking trees and wires down and closing roads.  School Street in Narrowsburg was closed, and utility wires were down.
Roads were closed in Honesdale, PA and the power was reportedly knocked out in that borough, and NYSEG was reporting outages in New York as well, including in Cochecton, Highland and Tusten. Roads were also closed in Parksville due to downed trees.

At least two school districts including Liberty altered the release of students in the afternoon because of possible tornado activity. Check www.riverreporter.com for updates.
