ROCK HILL, NY — In an April 8 letter from Randy Resnick, co-owner of the Ramada Rock Hill at Sullivan Center, Resnick confirmed that the Ramada hotel is under contract to be sold. The letter said the Resnick Group is proud of the facility they created, but they always knew it was an investment. Resnick wrote, “We always knew that at some point we would sell and that time has come. We’re happy to say that the new owners will continue to invest and keep our dream alive. As for us we are investing in bigger and better things in the area.”
The letter also says the Sullivan Events Center remains open, and BHR Food and Beverage has leased back the events center from the new owners and will continue to operate the event space. The Sullivan Events Center is often used by county agencies to host large gatherings.
At a meeting of the Sullivan County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) on March 11, the board voted to transfer the benefits of IDA tax breaks from RHH Land LLC to Ashirwad LLC. The IDA also approved a tax incentive on a $4 million dollar mortgage for the facility, which would result in a mortgage tax benefit of about $40,000 to the new owners, according to IDA documents.
