Masuo announces write-in race

SHOHOLA, PA — Shirley Masuo announced on April 10 that she will run for Shohola Township Supervisor as a write-in candidate. “My opponent’s narrow margin of victory in the last election is a clear indication that voters are looking, not only for a change in township government leadership, but for new ideas that will maximize the impact of every taxpayer dollar,” said Masuo.

Masuo missed getting on the ballot by just seven votes. “That underscores the importance of each and every vote. In Pennsylvania, voting for the candidate of the opposing party is allowed simply by writing in that candidate’s name on your ballot. I encourage everyone who is not registered to take the time to register, and for those registered to vote,” she said.

Absentee ballot applications and voter registration forms are available at the board of elections office at 506 Broad Street in Milford.
