PORT JERVIS, NY — In the newly opened Foundry42 store on Front Street in Port Jervis, one will find artworks by locals, many of which are made or will be made on the premises. Music by local musicians, workshops, and other entertainment are also in the plans for the venue.
Foundry42 also serves baked goods freshly baked on the premises and a variety of coffees and hot chocolate. Visitors can either sit down or browse in the store while sipping their coffee.
Events partner Cameron Zinman who was taking care of the coffee bar said, “We plan to open the second floor for events, parties, catering and possibly yoga classes.”
On opening day November 12, the store was packed, Zinman said, and many complemented owner Cooper Boone for “being the first to step up” in the Front Street and Port Jervis business area, which is hoping to see a renaissance.
Zinman, who used to live in Hoboken but currently resides in Jeffersonville, Sullivan County, brings some city flare to Port Jervis, and Boone is an entrepreneur who, “felt there was a huge untapped opportunity in Front Street [where] the architecture, the location and price were all calling me to take the leap,” according to website f42home.com.
