WHITE LAKE, NY — The White Lake Fire Department was summoned to a fire on March 5 and successfully put out the flames before it consumed the entire structure.
A post on the department’s Facebook page said, “I think we made a great stop, as the fire started up the rafters in the attic. Minutes matter in these situations. We were dispatched at 13:23 [1:23 p.m.] and immediately went 2nd Alarm. We were assisted by Kauneonga Lake, Smallwood Maungup Valley, Yulan, Lake Huntington and Monticello FAST team. Standing by were Callicoon, Swan Lake and Rock Hill. Thank you BC4, Bethel Ambulance, Sullivan County Fire Investigators, Town of Bethel Code Enforcement, Town of Bethel Constable and NYSEG.”
