MILFORD, PA —  It was standing room only at a coffee shop in downtown Milford on the night of January 8, as a crowd of over 70 concerned citizens gathered at the first-ever meeting of the newly-formed Delaware Valley Democratic Club.

In the aftermath of the 2016 election, members of the Pike County Democratic Committee were sought to bring together like-minded individuals to help strengthen the area’s progressive presence and visibility throughout the tri-state area.

The group’s core principles are to “Advance Justice, Respect and Equality,” along with the goal of offering support groups and engaging in outreach programs to bring even more committed citizens into the fold.

The club’s first action was to sponsor two buses to the Women’s March in Washington on January 21.
