LOCH SELDRAKE, NY — The Dean of Students at Sullivan County Community College was arrested on March 3, and did not make bail, so he spent the weekend in the Sullivan County Jail.
John Agnelli started working at the college in January.
The college issued a statement from SUNY Sullivan Interim President Jay Quaintance on the arrest:
“SUNY Sullivan’s Dean of Students John Agnelli was arrested Friday, March 3, by the New York State Police and was charged with grand larceny. During a check of routine business processes regarding a college-issued credit card, we discovered a number of irregularities. Upon further consideration, college administration referred the case to the State Police, who are conducting a thorough investigation. Mr. Agnelli’s employment at the college has been suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation.”
