ELDRED, NY — State police said the body of a 68-year-old man from Eldred was found on January 3, in a small brook along State Route 55 in the Town of Highland.

Troopers had been searching for Lloyd Parker the previous day, after he was last seen walking the area on December 30, across the bridge from Shohola, PA to Barryville.

Neighbors said Parker could often be seen walking  around Eldred, Yulan and Barryville, sometimes as often as three times a day, with his camera in hand.

He suffered from diabetes, but the cause of death has not yet been determined. A spokesperson for the state police said there was no indication of foul play, but an autopsy would be performed.

Parker was a videographer who screened a film he made called “Thirsty” at the Sunshine Hall Free Library in Eldred in 2015.
