MONTICELLO, NY — Every year, Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, center, along with her staff, volunteer at the Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless to help prepare Thanksgiving dinner. This year they were joined by interns from the Pine Bush Central School District’s Excelsior Program.
The volunteers helped peel potatoes (160 lbs. of sweet and 100 lbs. of white) and clip green beans (2 crates) to prepare the holiday meal for residents in need. The Federation served about 150 Thanksgiving meals that included roast turkey and all the trimmings.
