It’s so funny how so many people know who I am and I do not know them. I was at a pig roast at Lake Huntington Service Station over the week end—I cannot remember their names, but this one guy comes up to me and says, “Hi, Eileen.” I give myself a few seconds till something rings a bell. Nope, nothing. So I have to ask, “Who are you?” And he tells me his name, and says I always remember someone’s name when I have to write them a large check at tax time. It’s nice to hear how they like to read my column and that they enjoy my stories. I do try to live a fun-filled life just so I have stories to tell you about. Some people do not like it—they say it’s too much about me and not local stuff. If you have any local stuff going on, please get it to me so I can help you get the word out there. I can only write about what information I get, so if you belong to a group and you are having an event, I am your woman.

The Lake Huntington Fire Company would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this chicken barbecue a success, and also the people who came out and supported it. The Fire Company sold over 350 1/2 chickens—it was delicious and everyone enjoyed themselves. It’s nice when the community comes out to help out each other.

As always, Judy Yavarkovsky did a wonderful job organizing the Women's Club bus trip to Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs. Everyone had a good time, especially the several people who won. WCCC is planning a luncheon in mid-August for all current and past members. More details to follow soon.

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CHECK OUT The New Cochecton Youth Commission face book page for upcoming events.

Keep smiling and have a great week! You can email me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news. It would be great if you get me you your information by Friday.
