Driving around town, you can see what a difference all the hard-working volunteers are making with the litter pluck; the town is looking good. Tom and Stella Bonanza stopped by the town hall to say hello on Saturday while they were out litter plucking. If you are interested in helping out with litter pluck, it continues until May 13; give Jerry a call at 845/932-8210. The town clean-up days are May 19 and 20 at the old town hall highway department from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Visit www.townofcochectonny.org for more information.

On Saturday, July 14, the Turtle Trot 10k run and 10k relay walk will be held, with the run starting at 8 a.m. It will start and finish at the Kenoza Lake Firehouse. The entry fee is $25 by June 30, and $30 on race day. Checks should be made payable to CFOS Doug Ackermann and Brenna Darling Memorial Fund and mailed to April Ackermann, 322 Mueller Rd., Cochecton, NY 12726. You can register online at catskillstiming.com or on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. at the Kenoza Lake Firehouse. For more information call April Ackermann at 845/701-9054 or email farmerack@yahoo.com. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 50 registered participants. There will be post-race refreshments for all participants, awards and raffle prizes.
