I think Mother Nature is going through the changes. One day it 3 degrees and the next its 59. Well, I guess that is why they call it winter, it can snow all it wants, just not on the roads. I am the Cochecton Town Tax Collector and will be in the town hall collecting taxes. You can always pay on line with all credit cards except American Express; I do not take e-checks. There is a 3% fee to the credit card company for the use of credit cards. You can get all your tax information on www.taxlookup.net: go to Sullivan, and then to Cochecton.  You have to January 31 to pay with no fees. After that, there will be a 1% fee in February and a 2% fee in March, along with a $2 charge. You can always call me at 845/932-8360 X 17 leave a message and will get back to you.

Cochecton Youth Commission is hosting a NY Knicks Bus Trip to Madison Square Garden. In town and out of town family and friends welcome. Join the CYC to watch the Knicks vs. the Toronto Raptors on March 11, 2018. The first 25 children to sign up will get to "high-five" the players as they run onto the court. Signups will be held on February 1, 2017 at the Town Hall from 6 to 7 p.m.—if you’d like to secure your seats ahead of time, call or text Sue. Cost for adults and out of town children is $183, and as always, the event free is to Cochecton Youth. If you have any questions, call Sue at 845/866 0853.

CYC is looking for a new board member, come to the next meeting on the first Tuesday of the month at Town Hall at 7 p.m. Lisa Bercze of Trip Guy has graciously offered a fundraiser to the Cochecton Youth Commission: she will donate $25 to the CYC when anyone booking their vacation through her mentions the Cochecton Youth Commission. Spread the word to mention the CYC for anyone booking through Lisa.

Keep smiling and have a great week. You can e-mail me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845/252-3568 if you have any news. You can always check me out at riverreporter.com in Community Living.
