Spooky movies back in town

HONESDALE, PA — The Canaltown Short Spooky Movie Festival No. 5 will take place on Saturday, October 20 at The Cooperage, 1030 Main St. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the shows start at 8 p.m. The short films are locally and internationally produced. ‘Isle of Dogs’ in Callicoon

CALLICOON, NY — There will be a CineArt presentation of writer/director Wes Anderson’s stop-motion-animated film “Isle of Dogs” at the Callicoon Theater from Friday, May 18 through Monday, May 21. It will play at 7:30 p.m. on all days, plus 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

The new documentary “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story,” directed by Alexandra Dean, explores the complex journey of a woman who was much more than her beauty.

'Dark Horse' screens at Cooperage

HONESDALE, PA — The film “Dark Horse,” a true story about a Welsh coal mining town, its people and the horse they rallied behind, will be screened at The Cooperate, 1030 Main St. on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be available.
