Milford Readers and Writers Festival

MILFORD, PA — Milford celebrated its long history of all things literary by hosting the second annual Readers and Writers Festival, featuring both world-wide known authors like Alan Alda of “M*A*S*H” fame, who’s also published books, and a host of local writers and poets with presentations, panels, readings and workshops.

Deep Water Literary Fest

NARROWSBURG, NY — The first Deep Water Literary Fest, a three-day extravaganza in celebration of the written word, will take place in Narrowsburg this weekend. The inaugural event incorporates four aspects of the arts through readings, theater, film and visual art.

'Materials on Hand' book signing

HONESDALE, PA — There will be an author’s talk and book signing for “Materials on Hand,” by K. Page Nolker, on Tuesday, May 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Cooperage. Written as a poem a day the last year of her mother’s life, “Materials on Hand” shines a light on the fine line between heartache and beauty.
