Originalist judges and our rights
Many thanks to Roy Tedoff in his letter to the editor in the September 20 issue for raising the issue of Republican judges subscribing to “originalist” interpretations of the Constitution. This important issue is neither wonkish nor merely in the theoretical “weeds”.

Just how “strict” are some of these interpretations?
Not a good use of taxpayer money
Regarding your article, “Byway committee votes for Callicoon visitors’ center”:
The building and real property in question is located in Callicoon, NY and it belongs to the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad, which the article did not mention.
Many think elections don’t matter. Even more are less concerned with local elections.
Bravo to Jeff Bank’s community culture

Time to stop supporting the railroad
