I hope everyone is doing great. I had the best time with my sister Maryanne and my brother-in-law Jon, spending three days in New York City for the holidays. Friday we went to see the show “Beautiful, the Carol King Story,” and it was amazing. During intermission Jon asked what we were doing on Saturday, and we said we did not have any plans. He mentioned that “Kinky Boots” was closing in April, and I said I would love to see it. I should keep my big mouth shut—$327 later we were sitting in the audience for that show too. If you have not seen it, this is a must-see, fabulous, hilarious play.

Of course, we also went to see the tree, visited Bryant Park and walked around to look at all the decorations. On Sunday we were meeting my youngest brother and cousins at the 10:30 a.m. mass at St. Patrick’s. Jon wanted to get there early so we got a seat. I sat through the 9:30 a.m. mass and the 10:30 a.m. mass, which was said by Cardinal Dolan, with a choir. Our last adventure was “The Nutcracker” in Lincoln Center. Not really my kind of show—been there done that. I had a great time with family regardless.
