Holiday Gift Guide 2018
In this Holiday Gift Guide, we’re turning the tables, so to speak—turning them into something splendid for any and all upcoming celebrations. Ahead of Christmas, for example, you may want to try your hand at my very own DIY table-top Christmas tree. It’s pretty easy to do and if you’re as old as I am, you might recognize the craft. If younger, well, I’m just brilliant and offbeat, that’s all.
Our Holiday Gift Guide is all about setting the table this holiday, including the addition of easy-to-make or easy-to-afford drinks and food suggested by local restaurant and bar owners. For special festivities, there are plenty of affordable, local and intriguing gifts to make your table shine; something for Festivus perhaps?
Having trouble scheduling your social activities in between shopping for gifts? Don’t worry, we’ve done the social part for you in our holiday calendar. Just be sure to stop the shopping and general running around to take in a hearty meal.
Our very own Annemarie Schuetz interviewed the ever-interesting owner of Foundry42 in Port Jervis about how his new project WeShare brings community members together. He also offers some tips on setting a festive, classy table.
Mixology experts from Cochecton Fire Station, The Outside Institute and Here & Now Brewing Company in Honesdale have shared some of their special drink recipes—cheers to everyone!
Here’s wishing all of our readers the happiest holidays and a glorious new year,
