Holiday craft fair and luncheon

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The Grahamsville United Methodist Church on Route 55 will host a holiday craft fair and luncheon on Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in its fellowship hall. Local artists and craftsmen will be selling their jewelry, original watercolors, pottery, handmade soaps and much more.

Time and Valleys Museum awarded $2,000

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The Time and Valleys Museum won the $2,000 “Make a Difference” grant from the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan counties. The grant will fund field trips for Sullivan County students to visit the museum and take part in its educational programs.

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The Time and the Valleys Museum has received a $2,000 Make a Difference Fund grant from the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan.

‘The Great War — WWI’

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The Catskill Readers’ Theatre will give a performance of “The Great War—WWI” at the Time and the Valleys Museum on Route 55 on Sunday, November 11 at 2 p.m.

Bears recognize football seniors

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — On Saturday, October 20, the local community paid homage to their senior football players during the Tri-Valley Bears home stand against the Blue Devils of Roscoe/Livingston Manor/Downsville.

‘Needle Arts from the Past’

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — Phyllis Coombe and friends will explain the history of cross-stitch, show examples and teach a small project at “Needle Arts from the Past for Today: Cross-Stitch” at the Time and the Valleys Museum on State Route 55 on Sunday, October 28 at 2 p.m.

This 1930s Western Electric plant is located in a workshop next to the farmhouse. Purchased by farmers, electric plants generated electricity to the farm before electric lines were run to rural areas.   

Lost Catskill Farm opens

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — The Time and The Valleys Museum will open the 1930s Lost Catskill Farm behind the museum on Route 55 on Wednesday, September 12 with a program and reception at 4 p.m. Including a two-story house, outhouse, milk house, barn and electric plant; the farm is interactive, informative and fun for both children and adults.
