Welcome to the reel world

MIDDLETOWN, NY — Several cars streamed into the Fair Oaks Drive-In as it kicked off the second day of opening weekend on Saturday, May 25. Moviegoers headed toward the concession stand in the main building for a quick bite before the two large screens flanking either side of the property lit up the night.

A woman’s place

HONESDALE, PA — Aromas of all kinds emanate from Maude Alley off of Honesdale’s Main Street.

From Nhi Mundy's Vietnamese restaurant Bà & Me, the scent of cilantro and pho soup brewing wafts through the air, mingled with lavender and herbal teas coming from the Mount Pleasant Herbary.

Chef Jonathan Martinez invites you to eat what you crave

Jonathan Martinez was all smiles when I arrived at Last Licks in Liberty, NY. The space is open, bright, with a warm, sharp color scheme of red, white and black. He’s describing all the recent renovations and upgrades—pausing often to greet customers like old friends—that brought the restaurant’s vibe closer to his vision.

Comeback Kids: Sean Zigmund's homestead is all natural

Some people decide to stop using plastic or start biking to work. Other people, I guess, have a complete epiphany about their health and the planet and eventually spend three months retrofitting a ‘97 Chevy Express Van to travel 32,000 miles on waste vegetable oil.
