NARROWSBURG, NY — The public is invited to the Tusten Historical Society’s (THS) annual event at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, at Tusten Town Hall, Bridge Street. This year, guest speaker Jane Luchsinger will give a presentation titled “Logging in the Delaware River Valley.” Logging was once a thriving industry, spawning related industries up and down the valley including acid, tanning and excelsior factories. Light refreshments will be served.
Membership to the Tusten Historical Society is open to the public by subscription. A quarterly newsletter, Tusten Roots, is sent to all members. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the history room downstairs at Tusten-Cochecton branch of Western Sullivan Public Library.
