Spinning and weaving demonstrations

LACKAWAXEN, PA — The Woodland Weavers and Spinners Guild (WWSG) will be demonstrating spinning and weaving techniques at the Zane Grey Museum on July 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., part of the museum’s Zane Grey Days celebration .(See page 20).

The WWSG is a teaching guild, whose purpose is to share their knowledge of spinning and weaving all kinds of fiber, with programs at each meeting to teach these skills, as well as other types of fiber arts such as natural dyeing, felting, and care and use of spinning and weaving appliances. Dues for the guild are $20 for the year and $30 for a family membership. The guild meets the third Saturday of the month from April through November at the Damascus Community Center, with a spinning study group at 9 a.m. social hour at 10, business meeting at 11, break for lunch at noon, and program starting at 12:30 p.m. For more information call Lisa Rose at 845/866-4354.
