Schiller named CRMC CEO

MIDDLETOWN, NY — The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GH VHS), comprising Catskill Regional Medical Center and Orange Regional Medical Center, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Schiller to the position of CEO of Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC). He will assume the role on June 26 from current CRMC CEO Gerard Galarneau, MD who has also been appointed president of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System Medical Group. Dr. Galarneau will remain as Chief Medical Officer at CRMC.

Schiller had been serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer for GHVHS and will continue to serve as a member of the executive leadership team. In his new role, he will provide strategic vision and leadership for CRMC. Schiller has many years of high-level hospital experience. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. He volunteers his time as a member of the board of directors of the American Heart Association’s Hudson Valley Chapter as well as the board of directors for Leadership Orange and Christ Health Care Ministry.
