HONESDALE, PA — The Honesdale Rotary’s biggest annual fundraiser, its International Flavors Dinner, will take place on Saturday, November 3 at Honesdale High School from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy food from Mexico, India, Italy and many more countries cooked up by local restaurants and Rotarians. There will also be a basket raffle.
Monies raised help support both international and local projects. In the past few years, Honesdale Rotary has helped Lacawac Sanctuary, the Honesdale River Project and the Wayne County Public Library, among many other groups. Honesdale Rotary also raises funds for a program to eradicate polio worldwide. Since 1988, the incidence of polio globally has decreased 99%.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for children, and are available at Wayne Bank, The Dime Bank and Honesdale National Bank, by calling 570/253-8631, or can be purchased at the door.
