REGION, NY — Trends indicate that nature and agricultural tourism is on the rise in the Catskill region. However, warns the Northeast Extension Risk Management Education Agency, agri-tourism can be a financial risk.

In a series of five workshops hosted by the agency and five Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) associations, participants will learn about five areas of risk: legal, marketing, human resources, financial and weather/production risks.

The workshops, which begin on Friday, January 11, will take place in Delaware County, but are simultaneously available to Ostego, Schoharie, Sullivan and Ulster county residents online via Zoom, and they will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend and lunch is not included.

For information about the program, contact Mariane Kiraly at mk129@cornell.edu.
