LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — Sullivan County community members are invited to join Catholic Charities for a meet and greet with the Community Outreach team to learn more about the work that is being done to turn the tide on the opioid epidemic on Saturday, November 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the offices of Catskill Regional Medical Group, 36 Pearl St. This open house event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

Free Narcan training and kits will be available during the meet and greet. Narcan is an opioid overdose reversal medication that can easily and safely be administered by a lay person when someone is suffering from an overdose.

The Catholic Charities Community Outreach Team is part of the non-profit agency’s Center of Treatment Innovation, a NYS-funded program targeted at addressing the opioid crisis in Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties. For more information call 845.794.8080, ext. 190 or email lisa.beam@cccsos.org.
