HAWLEY, PA — Wallenpaupack Area High School (WAHS) 2018 graduate Kathleen “Katie” Lane has been named the recipient of the Marjorie Murphy Award for Service to Wallenpaupack’s fine arts program. Instituted and first presented by the Hawley Public Library’s Board of Directors in 2006, the award is intended to honor Murphy, a founder of the library, a long-time board vice president and a veteran of decades of active participation in many community organizations.

A Greentown resident and the daughter of Cathy Lane and Bob Lane, Katie will attend Syracuse University, where she plans to major in broadcast journalism.
