Civil Air Patrol open house to include flight simulator

BETHEL, NY — The Sullivan County Cadet Squadron, a local unit of the Civil Air Patrol, will host an open house on Saturday, August 18, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at the Sullivan County International Airport. The open house will include STEM displays and activities including a computer-based flight simulator and a hunt for a practice aircraft emergency beacon.

Members of the flight will be present to greet visitors and explain CAP’s three missions and what they mean to the public.  This event is open to the public and all ages are invited to attend.  Light refreshments will be served.

Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with 59,000 members nationwide.
