CCE ‘s annual meeting: farm, food and family

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY — At the Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) annual meeting December 12, the theme will be farms, food and family. The event will take place at New Hope Community in Loch Sheldrake, 870 State Rte. 52, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., with a snow date of December 19.

Guests will receive themed giveaways, locally sourced hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to participate in a raffle to benefit the local nonprofit FarmHearts. Attendees can also vote for candidates to fill open board of directors’ seats.

  The meeting portion of the evening begins at 6 p.m., with a presentation by Philip Gottwals, managing director of Agricultural and Community Development Services, Inc. (ACDS-LLC). Several awards will be presented throughout the night to local organizations for their support of agriculture and sustainability.
