BEACH LAKE, PA — Janet Burgan will be speaking about songwriting and activism on Sunday, October 7 at 10:15 a.m. at the Berlin Township Community Center. She will play guitar, sing and speak.
From her roots in northeastern Ohio, Burgan brings a folk sensibility to her music. Growing up in Cuyahoga Falls, (home to Chrissie Hynde, Joe Walsh, Devo and The Black Keys) Janet started her musical career as a singer, trombonist and pianist. She moved to New York and quickly became involved in the live music scene. Adding electric bass, acoustic guitar and frattoir to her instrument arsenal, Janet has led her own bands or been a sidewoman ever since.
All are welcome to the one hour service, presented by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. A social time with refreshments will follow. For directions visit www.uduuf.org.
