‘Not Your Grandmother’s God’

BEACH LAKE, PA — A video titled, “Not Your Grandmother’s God: Beyond Misconceptions about the Ground of Being,” will be presented on Sunday, August 12 at 10:15 a.m., by Rev. Dr. Arvid Staube, pastor of the the First Unitarian/Universalist Church of San Diego.

Straube has been practicing Buddhist meditation since his seminarian days, and teaching meditation has always been a part of his ministry. He trained in spiritual direction at the Shalem Institute with its founding faculty. Straube’s main academic interests have been Buddhism and the contemplative traditions of humanity. His doctor of ministry studies focused on the inseparability of spiritual and social action, and this has been a focus of his ministry ever since.

All are invited to the one-hour service presented by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. For directions visit www.uduuf.org.
