Vision for Riverside Dog Park and more
Vision for Riverside Dog Park
HAWLEY, PA — The Lake Region Community Dock Foundation is in the process of bringing a dog park to the hounds of Hawley and beyond. The plans for the one-acre park include a separate play area for small dogs, a pavilion for shade and weather protection and agility equipment to keep your dog active and learning. The park will be located beside the Riverside Trail and baseball field.
“The loss of our beloved family dog was the inspiration for this park, but it’s not just for him, it’s for all the dogs who brighten our lives and our love for them,” committee chair Heather Genzlinger said. “The personalized pavers are a great way to remember a pet or honor a family member.”
There are multiple ways people and businesses can donate to the project. The personalized pavers are available for purchase for $100, $150, or $250. Sponsorship for park infrastructure is available. People can also buy a bandana at the Art on Edge in the Hawley Silk Mill to benefit the project, or donate any amount online.
