MIDDLETOWN, NY — The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS) has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the world’s most ethical companies in 2019. GHVHS is one of six honorees worldwide in the nonprofit healthcare-provider industry. The GHVHS is compromised of Orange Regional Medical Center, Catskill Regional Medical Center, Orange Regional Medical Group, Catskill Regional Medical Group and Orange Regional Medical Center Foundation.
Ellen Memorial’s CEO welcomes retirement
CARBONDALE, PA — The CEO of Ellen Memorial, Robert Zabady, who built the facility in 1974, has decided to retire. R. Sean Buckman, CEO of Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, has agreed to acquire Ellen Memorial Healthcare Center. The nursing facility and continuing care retirement community is located in Honesdale, 15 miles away from Carbondale. The deal requires some regulatory approvals before it can be finalized, which should occur this spring.
Juliann Doyle appointed to lead the Wayne Memorial Community Advisory Board
HONESDALE, PA — Juliann Doyle has taken over leadership of the Wayne Memorial Community Advisory Board (CAB) from outgoing chair Martha Wilson. Doyle has been on the board since 2007. The CAB advocates for community needs to the Wayne Memorial Hospital & Health System Board of Trustees, shares the board’s objectives with the community and oversees community-related projects with allied health organizations that are funded through state, federal and foundation grants. Doyle has also been a member, then district director, of the Wayne County Business and Professional Women’s Club, and, since 2006, she has been the Browndale Fire Company’s first female president.
