The Narrowsburg Fire Department will host its Fire Prevention Day on October 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  at the Narrowsburg Fire Department, 203 Bridge St.

Participants can learn how to use a fire extinguisher; receive information about the proper placement and use of smoke, heat and CO detectors; and learn how to plan and execute an effective exit strategy from their home in the event of an emergency. The event is free and open to the public.
