City Girl Cakery opens

ELLENVILLE, NY — City Girl Cakery, LLC held a grand opening and ribbon cutting last week at 163 Canal St. It is a small, custom cake shop and bakery offering everything from muffins, cookies, cakes and cupcakes to French macarons and canollis. Owner Manal Mady has over 15 years of experience and graduated from the New York Restaurant School with a degree in pastry arts.

Store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information call 845/210-7328 or email admin@citygirlcakeryny.com.While she was one of the kindest and most polite people, she was woven from a strong, rugged fabric like so many of her generation. Most of all, she was an unwavering supporter of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. With her passing, there are now significant voids in the hamlet of Eldred and the hearts of her family.

Services were held at Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home in Barryville, NY on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. Christene was buried next to Martin in Montoza Cemetery in Eldred. Rev. Nancy Vonderhorst officiated.
