GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — A 4-H volunteer teaches a child how to make a free turtle out of craft supplies at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCESC) 4-H Youth Fair, held on August 18-21 in conjunction with Neversink Agriculture Society’s 138th Grahamsville Little World’s Fair. Over 250 youth were involved in the hundreds of projects presented, and $5,900 was raised: The annual 4-H Pie Auction raised over $3,000 for 4-H leadership opportunities in Sullivan County; the 4-H Livestock Auction, organized and led by 4-H members and volunteers, raised $2,900 for 4-H’ers and the Ag College Scholarship Fund. Anyone aged 5 to 19 can join 4-H for free or volunteer to start a club in their town. For more information contact Marylin Jones at 845/292-6180 or visit www.sullivancce.org/events.
