BEACH LAKE, PA — A routine petition among a stack of building permits and land-use applications had supervisor Cathy Hunt doing a double-take at the May 21 Berlin Township Board of Supervisors meeting. Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day

BEACH LAKE, PA — Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River (UDSRR) invites the public to help save lives by showing support for water safety on Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day on Friday, May 18. Since 1980, there have been 68 drownings on the Upper Delaware River; however, none drowned wearing a properly fitted life jacket.

UDC honors valley efforts

BEACH LAKE, PA — Next year will be the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act, honoring and preserving the nation’s free-flowing rivers.  The Upper Delaware begins this celebration with the unveiling of the Upper Delaware Virtual Tour and the National Park Service’s (NPS) online museum.

BEACH LAKE, PA — Setting the tone for a 20-minute October 17 Berlin Township Board of Supervisors meeting, supervisor Cathy Hunt pointed to two carefully posed decorative skeletons with blinking green eyes, and said it was time to get the skeletons out of the township closet.

Fall fiddle festival

BEACH LAKE, PA — The Old Time Fiddlers will host their annual fiddle festival on Sunday, October 22. The event will be held at the Beach Lake Fire Hall, 1033 Beach Lake Hwy, Route 652. Doors will open at 1 p.m., with music starting at 2 p.m. Fiddlers will have a 15-minute showcase to perform their favorite tunes and songs.
