Community playground beyond repair

BEACH LAKE, PA — The community playground located behind the Beach Lake United Methodist Church (BLUMC) has been open since 1989. BLUMC preschool director Tammy Thuman said, “It has become not just a meeting place for the community, but an option for gross motor development within the program and beyond.

BEACH LAKE, PA — Using the work of Rosamund Stone Zander, Benjamin Zander and Margaret Wheatley, Rev. Laurie Stuart (publisher of The River Reporter) will present a service entitled “The Art in Possibility” on Sunday, January 13 at 10:15 a.m.

The Hero’s Journey

BEACH LAKE, PA — Local poet and author Tom Lisenbee will ring in the new year with a service centered around a heartwarming video tale of rescue and release titled “The Hero’s Journey.” The one-hour service, presented by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will be held December 30 at 10:15 a.m.
