YULAN, NY — Yulan’s annual Von Steuben Day Festival will take place on Saturday, September 15 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. The Mountain Express Band will provide German music and entertainment, joined by Germania Almraush Schuplattler German Folk Dancers in full costume. New this year there will be a horseshoe tournament, double elimination, with entry costing $10 per person. For more information call Roger Wyant, 845/807-3013. There will be prizes of $125,$ 75 and $50 for first, second and third and fourth-place prizes respectively. As always, there will be arts and crafts, a bounce house, German cuisine. imported and domestic beers, wine and soft drinks. The event is a fundraiser for the Yulan Fire Department. Family admission costs $5; parking is free.
