TYLER HILL, PA — The Tri-Gal 4-H Club has been busy this holiday season, helping out with various service projects in the area. The group pulled together Thanksgiving dinner baskets for two local families mourning the loss of a loved one, as well as contributed to three additional community service projects and wrapped gifts for the season.
The group “adopted” two local families through the Angel Tree family program, as well as collecting donations and signing greeting cards for veterans at St. Francis Commons in Scranton and the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. The donations included personal care items, new clothes, shoes, activity books and more. The group celebrated their community achievements this year at an awards night and pizza party December 2. Read about the award winners in the community achievers section of today’s paper on page 7.
