HONESDALE, PA — There will be a special Swing Night at The Cooperage on Sunday, October 14, with a workshop from 4 to 6 p.m. by Swingin’ in NEPA, and dancing from 6 to 9 p.m. Learn some new steps with dance instructors Jaymee and Aaron from Gas House Swing. There will be live music by Little Big Band out of Milford. Don’t forget to grab dinner from The Walking Taco truck.
The Little Big Band was created by Bruce Dedrick (trombone) and is produced by George Stalter (drums). Dedrick, in addition to writing most of the arrangements, is also a singer and composer. The group specializes in swing tunes like “In the Mood,” “Moonlight Serenade” and “Take the A Train,” as well as classic dance music such as cha-chas, waltzes and tangoes. The band comprises horns, rhythm section and vocals.
No partner needed, no experience needed; everyone is welcome. The suggested donation is $10 per person, $20 with dance instruction.
