NARROWSBURG — Pete’s Market held its fourth “shopping cart challenge,” last week as a way to give back to families in need in the community. Customers voted on which employee from the Catskill Hudson Bank in Narrowsburg they wanted to run through the market collecting as much food as possible in three minutes. Tammy Ruyter was the designated shopper.
Branch administrator Crystal Jacob raised the stakes this year by encouraging employees to challenge a local business. Cecelia and Tom Coacci took on the challenge. The carts were donated to the Narrowsburg Ecumenical Food Pantry.
